Photon Q– a QWERTY slide-out 4.3-inch screen smartphone
Motorola will soon have a new flagship of its
products that the Photon Q is reported to be launched by Sprint near in the
future. The new Photon Q is much acclaimed to be the successor of Motorola Photon
4G.
The Photon Q is an Android smartphone with
QWERTY pad that comes with slide-out functionality. Interestingly, the users
can enjoy a 4.3-inch display from the device with which the Photon Q is said to
be the largest screen that is found in a QWERTY smartphone. While full coverage
of the Sprint 4G LTE network is not yet available since it has only been
expanded to 15 cities, it should not be a big problem that there is a
possibility that it will be made at the end of next year.
Inside the Photon Q smartphones is a 1.5 GHz
dual core processor which is matched to Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform
that has been updated to its 4.0.4 version. Talking about the feature
highlights, the Photon Q might be worthy that it comes with a primary rear 8 MP
camera with its capabilities of 1080 pixels HD video recording, as well as a
secondary facing HD camera at the front for video calls. In addition, the
slide-out 4.3-inch screen features the ColorBoost touchscreen that will reveal
a 5 row QWERTY keyboard.
There are also other interesting facts on the
Photon Q smartphone - besides all mentioned before. One of them is the presence
of the free Motorola app called SmartActions that makes it the first handset to
feature the app. The SmartActions is an app that enables that device to
automate routine activities and extend your battery life. One example of what
the app can do is that it can automatically switch your phone to silent mode
when on a meeting or lower the screen display when your phone is lack of power
or low battery. In addition, there are also the NFC facility and security
essentials like remote wipe, data encryption and pin lock that will be useful
for business users.
