4G variant of HTC's Radar spotted in the wild-At the beginning of this month, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the launch of two new Smartphones, both running under Microsoft's Windows Phone Mango platform, namely the HTC TITAN and the HTC Radar. At the time, we weren’t sure whether the devices would be headed to carriers in the United States. Well, Nice to know that the Radar 4G will also arrive at T-Mobile with all the bells and whistles intact.
For those who need a refresher, the HTC Radar runs Microsoft's Windows Phone platform with the Mango update pre-installed. A 1GHz single-core chip provides the processing power and a 3.8-inch WVGA display graces the Smartphone’s front. Other goodies include a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera, a front-facing shooter, and 8 gigs on on-board storage. However, since nothing has been confirmed on this for the time being, there is no telling on when the new device might become available for purchase at T-Mobile. Info on the price tag it might feature hasn't emerged either, yet the mobile phone should not be too expensive, considering that it is expected to land on shelves in other markets at an affordable price tag.
According to the leaked images, T-Mobile’s Radar will be called Radar 4G, since it comes with support for the carrier’s HSPA+ 42mpbs network is unknown right now. Other than that, the Radar 4G features a 3.7 inch Super LCD display WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, Netflix, 1GHz single-core processor, 5MP rear, VGA front-facing camera, and 8GB of on-board memory (about 6GB user available). Unfortunately, no word yet on when this will be coming to T-Mobile or how much it will cost when it does.
