Canon Reveals Mirrorless EOS-M Camera
Talking
about camera, there is no end development from the world of it. There are some
companies such like Panasonic, Nikon, and many more that have had
their fair share of mirrorless camera. However, Canon also has finally released
its mirrorless offering, the EOS-M Camera.
As
we heard that the EOS M takes some examples from its Rebel T4i
camera as it consist of an 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 processor,
3-inch touch screen, a
hybrid CMOS autofocus system for Photo & Video and Touch AF and Multi-touch Operation.
Yes, it is right that this
is a video camera first, and a stills camera second, which is an interesting
marketing strategy considering that this is going to be rather difficult to
shoot handheld with as says by the company.
If you make your recording, you
have the option to choose from a variety of resolutions and frame rates,
including 1920 x 1080 at 30, 25, or 24fps. Continuous shooting can last
up to 44 minutes on a 16 GB memory card, and half that with an 8 GB card.
Well, with all those features
mentioned above, as far as the looks is concerned, it is a mixture of both the
S100 and the PowerShot G1X making it a hybrid in a way. In addition, Canon also
introduced a new line of lenses which is the EF-M lens and the EOS M will be
getting a 22mm f/2 STM kit lens with it.
As we know, this EOS M kit is will
be released in October. How about the cost? Alright, let us tell you. It is
priced at $800. You can also get an adapter to use with other lenses and this
is available at a price of $200. Compared with the EF-M 18-55 f/3.5-5. which is priced at $300 of course it is still cheaper.
